and we survived! Amazing since we had so much drama leading up to the holiday(go figure!) Easter day was nice and smooth.
We celebrated by going to Church(nothing unusual there). Afterwards we rushed home to get a few things gathered and headed to Peggy's house for our family egg hunt and dinner.
The egg hunt was loads of fun. There were prize eggs for every age group.. baby, pre-school, big kids & even adult! And guess what? Ashley didn't find one! I think she is losing her skill..LOL!!
Callie, Carter, Cailan, and myself were the winners.. YAY us!!
After the hunt we sat down to some kick butt grub! Ham, broccoli & cauliflower salad, cheesy taters, green bean casserole, mac salad, dinner rolls, banana pudding!!
::..Callie, Carter & Owen..:: Easter Morning
During the last few days before Easter it was hard not to think about the reason we were celebrating! There was a show on the other day about Crucifixions and how extreme they were. did you know that the beating that Jesus endured would have bruised his lungs & kidneys & ripped apart his back muscles?! To top of the horrendous beating he was made to carry his own cross! And if he stumbled he was kicked while he was down. It makes my heart ache knowing He went through all of that for you and me! Ache like a mother's heart when her child is sick or hurt. He was the ultimate sacrifice so you and I might live even after we die! Have you accepted Christ in your life? Do you know where you are going when you die? Do you believe that he died so that we can live through Him?
