Snap!

So it all started about 2 and half weeks ago.. Carter came home snapping his lil fingers... It is starting to drive me a lil nuts. One of his friends taught him how at Pre-K. On Thursday while I was at his school for a workshop I noticed another lil boy doing the same thing. Being myself I had to ask his mommy all about it. Guess what? It started the same time as Carter's! I guess these lil boys had a pow wow on learning how to snap their tiny fingers. Carter can snap quite loud!

how Beautiful

This morning as I walked out the door to take Owen to school, I noticed how many dandelions were in our backyard and thought to myself... I have got to get a picture of Callie sitting with them. After her nap today I redid her hair and we went out! She sat there so nicely while I snapped away! I couldn't decide which to post so naturally I posted a lot of them...

Fresh Cuts

This morning I gave Carter and Callie fres cuts!Carter has been asking for a while for one.. he kept telling me that his hair was too long! Not sure what the kid was thinking..lol!!
Carter with his short do! He likes it like that!!

Callie's before shot... cousin it??

Her after shot.. not the most flattering..it's as if looking through a peep hole at her!

All fixed with full pig tail.. how cute is that?

new living room..yay!!

I have painted the living room. .the color: dried grass! the funny thing about this color is it first looks a tan color and then the longer you are in there, the greener it looks.. weird! We also bought new sofas! It has been fun keeping the 3 pairs of grubby hands off of it! They aren't allowed near until hands & faces have been washed:: with soap! after eating at the table. no snacks either! I am such a mean mommy!! Now if only I could get my act together and figure out how I want to re hang my stuff!

Yep! it's spring soccer season and we have been busy with practices 2 nights a week and Sat. morning games! The good thing is Owen LOVES soccer.. and it doesn't hurt that he is good at it..*wink *wink*
So far this season we are 2-1! The team that beat Team France is coached by a bully coach.. well that is my opinion. he is very hard on these kids. Keep in mind that this is U-8 so everyone is in 1st or 2nd grade!
Owen is a great player and we are working on some personal growth.. like no tripping people to get the ball and sharing the ball. the last game we played the score was 5-3and Owen scored at least 2 of those goals(I went to the snack stand so I am not sure if he scored another or not.. lol)

Easter has come & gone

and we survived! Amazing since we had so much drama leading up to the holiday(go figure!) Easter day was nice and smooth.
We celebrated by going to Church(nothing unusual there). Afterwards we rushed home to get a few things gathered and headed to Peggy's house for our family egg hunt and dinner.
The egg hunt was loads of fun. There were prize eggs for every age group.. baby, pre-school, big kids & even adult! And guess what? Ashley didn't find one! I think she is losing her skill..LOL!!
Callie, Carter, Cailan, and myself were the winners.. YAY us!!
After the hunt we sat down to some kick butt grub! Ham, broccoli & cauliflower salad, cheesy taters, green bean casserole, mac salad, dinner rolls, banana pudding!!
::..Callie, Carter & Owen..:: Easter Morning

During the last few days before Easter it was hard not to think about the reason we were celebrating! There was a show on the other day about Crucifixions and how extreme they were. did you know that the beating that Jesus endured would have bruised his lungs & kidneys & ripped apart his back muscles?! To top of the horrendous beating he was made to carry his own cross! And if he stumbled he was kicked while he was down. It makes my heart ache knowing He went through all of that for you and me! Ache like a mother's heart when her child is sick or hurt. He was the ultimate sacrifice so you and I might live even after we die! Have you accepted Christ in your life? Do you know where you are going when you die? Do you believe that he died so that we can live through Him?

Easter Eggs

Today we finally dyed our Easter Eggs.. we were supposed to do them last night but I came down with a migraine.. yeehaw! The boys started asking at 7a.m. if we could do the eggs. I finally told them not until Callie wakes from her nap. This is the 1st year that it has been just our kids. Usually all the kids get together and do them. It went much smoother with 3 kids vs. 9! Callie really enjoyed herself.. however she broke her eggs as she dropped them into the dye bath. Oh well!

Mom, I want to color my hair!

the title says it all. .. that is what Owen said to me on Thursday afternoon. I thought you have got to be kidding me. He is almost 8 but too young for that. Plus I figured there was no way on earth Jason was gonna go along with this.. Surprise he did! I put "golden" highlights in it
here is what it looks like::: It's not very bold.. subtle in fact:::
