Owen & Austin went on a hunt... a hunt for Locust shells.. ewww !!!

I think between the 2 of them ((sometimes Carter helped)) they found close to 45 of them.. gross ! Now that they have found them what are they going to do with those things?? That is the question

In a child's eyes

I had origanlly put this photo in Summer Daze but I decided it needed its own entry!!

When you click on the photo to make it larger you can see all kinds of things in Carter's eye..... uuh may zing!!! You can see the trees, the light post and my shadow... I love this picture

Summer Daze

Here are a few pictures of what a day is like around here.... lots of playing on the scooters, bikes, and any other good 'ole summer fun!

Every dog needs a boy... or two

A dog can be much more than a dog... Our dog is a member of our family.. Sadie Elizabeth Sensenig.. Yep she has a complete name and I use it just the same as I would the boys or Callie when I get angry.. it all comes out..lol !! She is also the boys friend.. loyal to the end. A playmate that never tires of playing ball. A sleeping buddy on lonely nights. A listening ear.. the list could go on & on.
Right before we moved into this house Owen wanted a puppy, keep in mind he was only 4 then. Jason and I agreed that once we moved and got settled we would buy a puppy. I had always wanted a Jack Russell ever since seeing Eddie on Frasier.. I loved that dog! Then I done some research.. A JRT wasn't looking so good after all. They had many qualities I didn't want::: hyper, jumpy, not good with kids, snippy::: Jason and I thought it over and of course the 2 biggest issues were the hyperness and the not good with kids.. after all we already had 2 at the time... Well we figured that we needed a dog that could keep up to Owen.. so a JRT it was!! Let me tell you that she has not kept true to her breed.. that is one LAZY dog!! She lies around all day long.. she will have her spurts where she rips and runs but overall.. lazy!! She does very well with the kids, even Callie who calls her woof-woof!! She is our perfect dog..

He Believes !!

Owen made the commitment to live his life for Jesus Christ!! Jason and I are so proud of him in this very important decision his life. Last year Jason made that choice as well and as everyone knows Owen wants to be just like his daddy... we have all heard this saying... lead by example... well that is exactly what Jason done without even knowing it. Yesterday(7.20.08) Owen was baptized in the Cocalico Creek by Pastor Allan and Mrs. Kendra(Kids Pastor). He had Jason by his side. Owen told me that he felt very happy in the water. I'm guess God was there with him as well when Owen took this big leap of Faith. How wonderfull to see Owen's passion for the love of Jesus! He is such and amazing child.. he's got a vigor for life and knowledge like know one else I know.
Jason's dad, Milt was able to be there. He said that it meant a lot to him to see what Owen had done and that he wouldn't have missed it.. that is my grandson he said!! He nearly blew me over. It isn't customary for children to be baptized in Milt's church. They must wait until 16 or 17 and then it's just because that is what they do.... Owen wanted this!! Jason's aunt Nancy was there as well as both of my parents! It was a blessing to have our loved ones there with us for this special day!!

Hitched.... finally !!

My brother finally got himself married to his long time love, Susan on the 19th of July((yep a day after my anni))! The Ceremony took place at our church, Good Shepherd community church at 10 am.. nice and early ! Susan looked stunning in her gown. Eddy look pretty sharp in his tux as well.. their girls, Ashley and Autumn were adorable. Austin looked pretty snazzy all dressed up ((it's rare to see that)) There seemed to be a lot of choas involved and someone asked me if it was like that when I got married.. To that I replied.. No, We got married in Jamica.. nice and smooth!!

8 years

On the 18th of July, Jason and I celebrated our 8th year of marriage.. as I set and think about those 8 years I wonder where the time has gone?? They have passed in a blink of the eye. Those 8 years have been the greatest 8 years of my life. Together we have created many wonderful memories.. including the birth of our 3 children! I can only dream of what the next 8 years will have in store for us. We celebrated by doing lunch at Applebee's... not too exciting, huh??? In those 8 years we have learned that it doesn't matter what your doing, it's who you are doing it with !!!
LOVE YOU HONEY!!

Our trip to the Balitmore Zoo

Finally after talking of going to the zoo for 3 years , we had set in stone plans to go on the 17th of July... it turned out to be an extremely hot day.. 93 and humid. The day started off with Carter waking Jason and I around 3 A.M. to tell us his tummy hurt.. not a good sign. He had a few battles with the stomach bug that has been so lovely to bless us several times over the last 2 weeks. He was determined to go to the zoo so we went.. He did throw up on the way down but was fine the remainder of the day.. Thanks to God ! We all all a great time. We took Cailan & Lacey with us.

They have a new feature there where you can get up close and personal with the Giaraffe to feed them.. that was a big hit with everyone.

The Biggest reason I wanted to go to Baltimore over Philly was becasue of Samson.. the baby Elephant. He just turned 4 mths. old. He is only out in the yard for 2 hrs..
(10-12). Well we got there around 11 a.m. ate lunch before we went in.. we had less than 30 min. to get to the other side of the park to see him.. we made it.. thanks to the tram service.

The had some wonderful caves to explore in. the first set was for a little turle area. Once you walked into the cave they had peep hole like things for you to look in and then you see the turtles who were actually on top of the cave .. it was really neat.

We saw many beautiful creatures... 2 white Rhinos, a leapord, a cheetah, penquins, a porcupine, some really neat birds, all kinds of snakes, chimps((they were soo cute)),and much more...Everyone enjoyed the beautiful day we had and my family can't wait to go back in the fall with Uncle Nunner and his family !!

uggg:::... what a week....:::

Last Monday evening Callie woke me up around 11:30 pm vomiting everywhere((gross, I know))!! Just as I got one area cleaned she was puking somewhere else((our bed)). The vomiting continued through out the night.. mostly dry-heaving((poor baby girl))!! Then on Tues. it turned to diarrhea. She couldn't keep nothing down. It was coming out one end or the other. On Weds.she took a nap that lasted from 10 until around 2:30 or so. When she woke she started vomiting again. I decided to call her Pediatrician. She was then admitted to the hospital to be hydrated via I.V. Jason was out of town with work and couldn't be there to comfort me or Callie. All he could do was pray that everything was going to be okay. The overnight hospital stay was an adventure in itself. Since Callie is walking everywhere it was hard to contain her so she wouldn't stretch her I.V. Soo not fun!! They did some lab work.. kept her on a bland diet and such. On Thursday eve((around 8ish)) her Ped. done his rounds and said as long as I felt she was doing better and her BM's were getting more substance to it, we could go... YAY!! We jetted out of there, fast!! Monday she went back to the Ped. for a follow up. The Ped. explained to me that what Callie had was a bacteria ((I forget the name(I have it on paper somewhere)) and it usually requires an antibiotic by I.V. due to it being resistant to all oral forms that she could take((the ones that it wasn't resistant to could have cause malformation of her bone cartlidge))!! The way I took it was... She wasn't sure how Callie was on the mend without getting antibiotics !! All I can say is GOD IS GOOD!!
